ARCC SoTL Scholars Program Application

Applications must be submitted via the online form and are due Friday, May 12th. Individual or team applications are encouraged. Notification will be no later than Friday, May 26th.
Eligibility
ARCC faculty who are interested in improving the teaching and student learning experience. Individual faculty members and teams (2-3 faculty who complete a shared project) are eligible.
Compensation
Each Scholar will receive a $500 stipend each semester of the program ($2000 total). Participants must attend scheduled meetings and meet project benchmarks to be eligible for the stipend. Individual meeting arrangements may be made in the event of extenuating circumstances. Scholars receive support to attend a teaching and learning conference each year of the program.
Program Benchmarks
Semester 1: Literature review, SoTL inquiry question development.
Semester 2: Design study, submit Institutional Review Board Application.
Semester 3: Collect data, prepare data analysis plan, write study abstract.
Semester 4: Analyze data, write final project report, share outcomes.
Estimated Time Commitment
All meetings will be held virtually, with possible in person options.
Annual fall retreat (6 hours – split between August and September).
24 hours total (including fall retreat) per year of faculty learning community meetings.
Individual work time scheduled by you.
